Soil Health

Soil Health

The continued capacity of soil to function as a vital living ecosystem that sustains plants, animals, and humans. Healthy soil gives us clean air and water, bountiful crops and forests, productive grazing lands, diverse wildlife, and beautiful landscapes.

Mode of action: KOMPOS is a compost starter culture containing a wide range of bacteria, fungi, and yeasts for the accelerated decomposition of plant material. One of the main active ingredients is the lignocellulolytic fungus Mycothermus thermophilus, a thermophilic fungus, reported to produce appreciable titers of cellulases and hemicellulases. This fungus also produces an array of glycosyl hydrolases, carbohydrate esterases, and auxiliary enzymes. Bacterial species in the starter culture include Bacillus, Paenibacillus, Thermobacillus, and Truepera (amongst others).

Application: Prepare a molasses medium by dissolving 1 kg molasses (powder or syrup) in 20 liters of water. Add 200 g (2 packets) compost starter to the 20 liters molasses medium and mix thoroughly. Leave to brew for 3 days. Mix or aerate for a better result. Dilute the 20-litre culture to 100 litres and mix. Add the 100 liters to 50 cubic meters of waste. Mix thoroughly.

Application (SIMBIONT - K & SIMBIONT - M is optimally used together):

SIMBIONT K: Dissolve 4 kg molasses (powder or syrup) in 100 liters of water. Add 200 g (2 packets) SIMBIONT K, mix thoroughly, and incubate at about 25 °C with aeration or thorough mixing for at least 3 days.

SIMBIONT M: Dissolve 4 kg molasses (powder or syrup) in 100 liters of water. Add 200 g (2 packets) SIMBIONT M, mix thoroughly, and incubate at about 25 °C without aeration for at least 3 days.

Mix the contents of the two tanks, dilute them with water, and spread them over plant residues or soil. The mixture is sufficient for the treatment of 5 to 10 hectares depending on the crop or soil. If applied to leaves, it should be diluted 1:10 with water. Please refer to the label.
